Hi,

     My name is Sofia de Sousa, I am the photographer behind "Bfree-Photography" and also a  product/graphic designer. I was born in a small village full of enchantment in northern Portugal. While studying product design, my passion for photography started to grow through a work I was asked to do for college.

     After college, photography became a hobby. I used to grab my compact camera and explore my mom's garden from a macro perspective. I found many bugs and lovely little worlds which I never imagined, the more pictures I took the more fascinated I was with the beauty and the magic of photography.

    Inspired by those tiny worlds I started to do little compositions with a romantic touch and photograph them. 

     While shooting I start to feel passion, emotion, nostalgia and.......freedom. Nothing but photography could awake this sensation in me. Tiredness, stress, problems, hunger.... disappeared, creativity and harmony flowed. From this moment on I decided to dedicate myself to photography. Step by step I am working hard to reach freedom.

     That is the feeling I want to transmit to the ones I am photographing. I want them to feel free with no pressures in a relaxed moment and catch natural moments, natural expressions and true feelings. It might to take longer to shoot yes but will worth it. My work is inspired by a fresh style with a romantic/vintage touch.
